Making your own stencils for water color

Making your own stencils for water color

When you use stencils for water color, it is like stamping. You can pretty much
use anything and everything. But the effects are enormous. Either you can buy it
commercially or make your own. The following are few ways you can make them.

1. It can be made from plastic sheet, tag board, thin sheet of metal or paper.
2. You can use the letters and numbers from the stores or make your own and
use with abstract or theme painting.
3. Use a masking fluid to protect areas and paint over it. You can peel off when dry.

Once you create a shape you want, you can stick them to paper or use it loosely and can
use paint over it and remove it later.

Indulging into new ideas every now and then is a great way to experiment and learn from it.
